With its lush, ovate and impossibly green leaves, the Calathea roseopicta ‘Green Goddess’ is one of the most beautiful common prayer plants. Aside from its beauty, it is also functional as it has air-purifying qualities.
Although Calatheas in general are a little fussier, they can thrive given proper attention and care. Its fine foliage loves plenty of diffused or medium, indirect light. Watering policy is ‘little and often’ as this prayer plant requires damp soil at all times. About once or twice a week will to the trick.
The Calathea roseopicta, as with other calatheas, require high humidity so misting it at least once a day or placing it on a tray filled with clean pebbles in shallow water will help the plant maintain its health and beauty.
